Four autonomous spaces - curated by women artists and activists - opened up new perspectives on the exhibition's theme.
Peju Layiwola
The Nigerian artist Peju Layiwola deals with the looted cultural objects from the Kingdom of Benin (Nigeria), many of which are also in the collection of the RJM. For this purpose, she has invited several Nigerian artists, some of whom have been working for decades in Nigeria and the Diaspora, to deal with the looting of Benin bronzes in 1897.
